Acicase,Technical is the result of acidic digestion of milk protein by hydrochloric acid. Absence of sulphonamide inhibitors makes Acicase, Technical ideal for preparation of Antibiotic Test Media, like Mueller Hinton Agar and Vaccine Preparation Media as a source of high concentration of free amino acids. It contains all amino acids (except Tryptophan and Cystine which are destroyed during acid hydrolysis) present in milk protein and high sodium chloride content. It is equivalent to Casein Acid Hydrolysate Technical.

Acicase, Certified is manufactured under controlled condition by acid hydrolysis of milk protein. It has Sodium chloride less than 3% and is Vitamin free. It is suitable for media requiring high amino acid content with low sodium chloride levels. It is particularly valuable in studying the growth requirement of bacteria. It can be used for preparing antibiotic sensitivity test media including Mueller Hinton Agar (M173), in media requiring quantitative addition of tryptophan , in vaccine preparation as a source of high concentration of free amino acids. It is equivalent to Casein Acid Hydrolysate, Certified.
