HiMedia offers a complete range of Harmonized Media, for the Harmonized Microbial Limit Test (MLT) and sterility test methods used in pharmaceutical industries. Harmonized MLT Media developed by HiMedia are USP/EP/BP/JP/IP compliant. The harmonization of USP/EP/BP/JP/IP currently demands usage of new testing protocols and subsequently newer dehydrated culture media compositions. With this harmonization, newer testing protocols are to be implemented for testing of non-sterile drug products. This also includes changes in the composition of culture media, used to test these products for specified organisms. The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) has initiated plans to bring in compliance with the Global Standards of Harmonization. As an effort to harmonize the various pharmacopoeias the harmonized Sterility Test incorporates requirements for regular sterility testing of media. The harmonized Microbial Limit Tests now incorporates the evaluation of nutritive, differential and selective properties of the media.
